Norma Jean Discography

No one screams beautiful chaos quite like Norma Jean.

Their first album, Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child was the first and only to feature vocalist Josh Scogin. The entire album was recorded live with no overdubs. The insert says that the CD was produced entirely without the use of computers. My favorite album of their's, it bears little resemblance to the rest of their releases.

After that release, Scogin left and was replaced by Brad Norris for about a year and a half. He was later replaced by Cory Brandan, who can be heard on Norma Jean's second album O' God the Aftermath and their latest album, Redeemer.

Plans are underway to release a new album in late summer 2008, entitled The Anti Mother. It will be the first release to feature new drummer Chris Raines. The album will feature several guest spots, possibly including Page Hamilton (Helmet), Aaron Weiss (mewithoutYou), Spencer Chamberlain and Aaron Gillespie (Underoath), Josh Scogin (ex-Norma Jean, The Chariot), and Brandon Proff (ex-Fear Before the March of Flames). I'm incredibly excited for this.

Also, if you're a Norma Jean fan, you have to check out this epic concert footage. Filmed at Norma Jean's 2006 performance at Cornerstone, it features Josh Scogin and Aaron Weiss.

And giant metal horns, haha.
