Dntel - Dumb Luck

Dntel, or James Scott Tamborello by birth, is an electronic music artist. He released his full-length album Life Is Full of Possibilities in 2001. The album featured several guest artists on vocals, guitars and other instruments. The most well-received song was the Ben Gibbard collaboration "(This Is) The Dream of Evan and Chan", which led to a single in 2002, and later, the forming of the band The Postal Service with Gibbard.

Dumb Luck is Dntel's third, and most recent album. The sound of Dumb Luck is a less glitch-oriented and more electroacoustic sound than more of his earlier work, although electronics are still the primary sound in some songs. The tracklist is posted so you can see the featured artists.

Lali Puna - I Thought I Was Over That: Rare, Remixed, and B-Sides

Lali Puna sounds like glitched-up version of Air. Plus, they have a sweet band name. And the little bunny is wearing headphones in the artwork. Its a grand slam.

Of note: This collection features a remix of "(This Is) The Dream of Evan and Chan", a song by Dntel (Jimmy Tamborello), featuring the vocals and lyrics by Ben Gibbard. When the song was released, it was so well-received that the two collaborated on a full-length album, Give Up, which they released as The Postal Service in 2003.

edIT - Certified Air Raid Material

Crisp. Glitch. Crunk.
Certified Air Raid Material seems to be edIT's unsolicited application for hip hop producer. While his previous release, Crying Over Pros and Cons for No Reason, was more relaxed and calming, this newest release is a different story. Certified Air Raid Material is chock-full of dance floor anthems, with some of the most complicated drum chops and sample cuts you've ever heard. Once edIT finished the beats, he invited some of the world's top underground rappers to join the party. The result: perhaps the most futuristic-sounding "hip-hop" album in history. This album features tracks such as 'Battling Go-Go Yubari in Downtown L.A.' and 'Crunk De Gaulle' that will make your head bob and your booty bounce.
